The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Tanzania Country Office is conducting a market study on behalf of all the United Nations Agencies in Tanzania as part of the “Delivery as One” project. The goal of this Request for EOI is to review and assess the market place, both in Tanzania and neighboring countries, to identify the availability of potential sources/vendors relevant to the United Nations, including but not limited to the specific commodity groups mentioned below. The aim of this exercise will be to assess and pre-qualify new and potential vendors for local procurement of supplies and services, evaluate existing vendors for their performance against UN’s requirements as part of comprehensive market survey and update the UN supplier database. Based on historical data of the past order and contracts of 2007-2012, the following categories of commodities/services were being procured by the UN in Tanzania:
