About the Job:
Advans is seeking an Internal Audit Consultant. S/he will be in charge of supervising and providing assistance to the local audit teams in conducting their activities. S/he will contribute to the structuring and development of the audit departments of organization's affiliates in DRC and Tanzania. S/he will ensure group audit standards have been properly understood and will review the quality of the works performed by these departments. S/he will work closely with the local heads of audit departments in order to provide them all with required assistance with a view to reinforcing the capacities of the audit departments in Advans Banque Congo and Advans Bank Tanzania.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist heads of audit departments in the execution of audit missions planned for the year: supporting them from the preparation until the finalization stages of an audit mission while helping actively the teams with orientation, review, and supervision of various works;
- Coach and train local audit teams on an on-going basis with a focus on the tasks not properly handled in order to ensure the auditors' skills improvement: in particular, define an individualized coaching program for the heads of audit to implement all along the mission;
- Contribute to the overall assessment of the quality of risk management and internal control systems designed and implemented in the organization's institutions;
- Take part in the design of methodological and tools developments which are necessary for the quality of the audit department's activities;
- Monitor the audit recommendations and management action plans' follow up process;
- Assist heads of audit departments in the preparation of the audit committee meetings and participate in these meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master's in Business Administration/Finance/Audit;
- At least 2 years' experience in banking or a financial institution, working in audit/internal control/risk management or in an audit firm;
- Fluent in French and English;
- Management skills;
- Rigorous and analytical;
- Ability to devise and update processes and working tools as well as train staff to use them;
- Ability to show pedagogy, initiative, good interpersonal skills, and team spirit;
- Mature, dynamic and autonomous;
- Former experience in a developing country would be an asset;
- Intercultural sensitivity, stress resistant, and resilient.
