Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a locally registered NGO first established in 1994. It is the largest indigenous provider of disability rehabilitation services in the country. CCBRT aims to improve the quality of life of people living with disabilities as well as their families and to enable them to achieve their legitimate potential.
Duties to Include:
· Conducting assessments for people with disabilities, setting out treatment plans and monitoring progress in cooperation with the community rehabilitation workers (CRWs) and the patient’s family.
· Managing Week of Intensive Treatment through assessing the disability, preparing an individual rehabilitation program and completing monitoring and evaluation documents in conjunction with the rehabilitation assistants.
· Supervising, training and assisting the CRWs in recognizing disability aspects, referring, providing education and interventions to patients.
· Conducting outreach clinics in the community together with other disciplines within the program.
· Conducting health education sessions and sensitize other agencies, communities and interested parties regarding the program and CBR work.
Work Experience / Skills:
- At least 2 years experience in a Hospital. Strong communication skills both verbal and written (E)
- Experience in keeping records and monitoring progress of patients (E)
- Proficient computer skills (E)
Qualifications:
· A bachelor degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
E – Essential, P – Preferred
