African Network for Prevention and Protection of Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Tanzania Chapter is the local affiliate of the regional ANPPCAN Africa, Pan African organization (NGO) with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. ANPPCAN-Tanzania chapter was formed on January, 1990 as a non-profit making and service delivery organization. It was registered under the society’s ordinance of 1954.

Reporting to: Governing Board
Job description
- Over see the daily activities performed by subordinates.
- To write proposals, mobilize resources and liaise with development partners
- To monitor the implementation and evaluation of the ongoing projects
- Lobbing/meetings/representing the organization in different international and local forums.
- To oversee the implementation of the organizational strategic plan
- Prepare work plan and produce monthly, quarterly and annually reports.
- To administer staff social welfare issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Board
Application Instructions:
General qualifications
A bachelors degree/advanced diploma in social science from a recognized university preferably social work, sociology, project planning. Candidates with a fairly good working experience (at least two to three years) with children’s issues are highly encouraged to apply. Other qualities include:
- Good communication in spoken and written Kiswahili and English language.
- Good judgment and analytical skills.
- Proposal writing skills, Project planning and management experience
- Good interpersonal and demonstrative ability to work independently
