Reports to: Finance Manager
Job Purpose
Supervise and control the accounting team by imposing the effective mechanism for acknowledging financial transactions to ensure proper reporting that is in compliance with local rules and regulations and international accounting standards.
Key accountabilities
Typical duties included are, but not limited to:
- Supervise the accounts unit and verify compliance with company policies and procedures and accounting international standards.
- Set guidelines for recognizing financial transactions to ensure timely reporting.
- Validate all financial data in company financial software to ensure accuracy.
- Establish proper filing system for financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the safe custody of checkbooks and receipt vouchers in compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Oversee and monitor the credit team to ensure targeted average collection period (ACP)
- Motivate and develop staff ensuring that objectives are established and communicated,monitored, and reviewed, to ensure proper reporting.

Basic job requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting and CPA (K), ACCA
- 4-5 years’ Experience in Accounting
