The Information Management Officer supports the technical input to project design, planning, administration, and monitoring and evaluation of programme activities; s/he contributes toward data analysis and progress reporting, and is committed to enhance teamwork and capacity building to achieve the objectives of the work plan in alignment with strategy and goals.
Key Expected Results
- Compile accurate, complete and up-to-date information for inclusion in the budget preparation, and in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of the project.
- Enhance project efficiency and effectiveness through effective implementation and follow up with implementing partners.
- Prepare progress reports and project work plans, and provide technical assistance toward the development of information sharing tools with partners, the inventory of supplies and equipment, and the drafting of the Country Programme Recommendation and other materials related to the project.
- Support the completion of financial and supply documentation, ensuring its accuracy and adherence to established allotments.
- Promote knowledge sharing among donors, media and strategic partners; provide relevant gender and sex aggregated data and inputs.
- Achieve effective communication and networking through partnerships and collaboration; strengthen coordination among child protection system actors.
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
Education
- University degree in the social sciences, statistics, M&E or related field
Work Experience
- Minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience
- International work experience / developing country experience, preferably in the Middle East & North Africa Region
- Experience in the management of, use and present CPIMS and Sub-Cluster Information Management System data to support evidence based decision making
- Background/familiarity with Emergency situations considered an asset
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English required, and good knowledge of Arabic highly desirable
