Position: Head of SME
Job Description
The SME Head within SimbaNET Tanzania is
responsible for managing sales within the Corporate Sales Department
specifically within the Small to Medium Size Enterprise bracket. His
responsibilities would include but not limited to lead follow through, identify
market opportunities, develop, maintain and motivate a vibrant sales team to
focus on performance at all times.
The incumbent is also responsible for developing sales strategies to achieve targeted growth. Undertakes strategic planning and business development to ensure revenue growth in all Company products.
• Completes pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns
• Proactively ensure to meet the strategies for SME
• Manages and motivates the sales team to ensure optimal efficiency / productivity and morale results in good operational performance.
• Guiding team and making sure that numbers met on weekly basis
• Product marketing assistance along with Marketing team
• Ensuring the events planned for customer and roadshows
• Timely reporting to GM
• Managing DSA’s and the target
• Attends to regular face to face client visits / meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of their existing business needs assisting in enhancing the team’s ability to service the same.
• Propose new initiatives, plans and programs to improve the effectiveness of the Business Sales

Position Requirements
> Minimum Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree
> Minimum Work Experience and Technical Experience:
• 5- 8 years in Sales with at least 5 years of upper level management. MIS/IT/CS background preferred.
• Good working knowledge of the Communication Industry and different forms of Internet and Data Connectivity - Good Information & Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
• An understanding of the Marketing needs of prospective clients
• Understanding and recent experience of VSAT, Wireless and Fibre Optics sales.
• The ability to understand and work with sales figures, sales targets and basic financial administration.
