Tetra Tech, through its subsidiary Tetra Tech ARD (http://www.tetratechintdev.com). a US-based international development firm is implementing a USAID-funded project 'the Tanzania Water Resources Integration Development Initiative (WARIDI) which seeks to achieve improvements in health, water resources management, agriculture, climate change adaptation and the environment in Tanzania. Win rock Intemational (http://www.winrock.org), a US-based international non-profit Organization , is a sub-contractor to Tetra Tech on WARIDI and is supporting its implementation.
Tetra Tech and Winrock are advertising for the following positions to be based in the Office (except where noted). All applicants should be Tanzanian citizens and be fluent in Swahili and English. Some positions are immediate and some will be phased in over the coming 3 - 4 months. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements
Grants Manager (1 post)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in an equivalent position, experience working in a similar position with NGOs or international organizations is preferred.
Education: A successful candidate must possess University degree in administration, management or similar field.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
The role of the Grants Manager is to assist in the strategic oversight and implementation of the Project Grants program. The Grants Manager shall ensure the management, design and development of transparent, effective and efficient Grants Program operations as may be required,
S/He will through the advise the Chief of Party, and other technical staff on effective procedures for integrating partners into their programs, plans and project designs,
He/she will facilitate the execution of all grants in order to fully support all USAID programming in the timely accomplishment of all deliverables. Will provide training to grantees/potential grantees on grant administration requirements and procedures.
