The vision of the Professional Development Programmes (PDP) is to attract, strengthen and retain junior/entry-level talent within World Vision International.
Mission:
The Programmes are designed for junior/entry-level professionals to apply knowledge and experiences acquired in undergraduate and graduate education for the development of practical skills and talents applicable to the non-profit world.
The goals of these programmes are to

WVI FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME:
PURPOSE:
The WVI Fellowship Programme is a starting point for passionate, talented and driven professionals interested in an international NGO career with World Vision. During the two year programme, WVI Fellows will participate in significant projects and initiatives designed to gain and deepen professional leadership competencies while adding value to World Vision.
SCOPE OF WORK:
- The Programme intends to develop and retain entry/junior-level professional individuals with the desire to grow and develop within the organisation
- Through six month rotational structured work assignments, engaging projects and stimulating hands-on field experience, WVI Fellows will strengthen their transferable research and project management skills, broaden their knowledge base and develop into fully competent professional employees
- These work experiences will position WVI Fellows to build successful mentorhips and important networks of industry personnel
- Upon completion of the programme, participants will be committed to secure a permanent assignment within the organisation
POSSIBLE PROJECET WORK TO BE DETERMINED BY TERMS OF REFERENCE AND NEEDS OF WVI:
- Research
- Evaluation/analysis
- Report writing
- Project management
- Communication: verbal, written and virtual
PROGRAMME LOGISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS
DURATION:
- Two year contract
- 3-4 department rotations lasting six months each
- Field assignment or secondment in Regional Office, or National Office
LOCATION:
- Fellows will be based in Los Angeles, California
CHARACTERISTICS/ELIGIBILITY:
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or 5-7 years of professional work experience in related fields
- A maximum of 5 years working experience in a post-graduate professional role
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Strong biblical understanding and ability to apply Christian values to World Vision's mission
- Ability or interest in working at the Global Centre - Los Angeles and the required field rotation, potentially stationed in a developing country (preferred)
- 1-2+ years of international humanitarian work experience
- 1-2+ years of volunteer/extra-curricular activities
- Conversational/fluent in a second language
