Fabrication Supervisor

Position Description:
Tanzania Tobacco Processors Ltd based in Morogoro invites applications to fill the seven positions in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Key functions of this position will include the following;
*To check that all fabricators are present and report to the time keeper in any case of absenteeism
*Assigns jobs to fabricators
*To monitor materials consumption in fabrication and plumbing section
*Maintains fabrication workshop work orders.
*Maintains work completion forms for fabrication section as per ISO.
*Checks the work order requests and discusses with the workshop superintendent
*Organizes all materials required for a given task
*Supervise the weekly maintenance plants in assigned areas.
Qualifications and Experience
*FTC in Mechanical Engineering
*At least one year's experience in fabrication

*Attends plant preventive maintenance
*Carries out daily and weekly checklists and prepare a list of faults
*Fabricates different plant parts
*Attends plants mechanical breakdowns and reports all problems to Shift Supervisor Prepares and hand over reports after completion to Shift Supervisor
*Attends annual preventive maintenance and fabrication of different plant parts \.. Supervises the maintenance team at the allocated line.
*Performs all tasks as per company -SHE standard and ISO procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
*Trade Test 1 (At least 3-5 years' experience)
*FTC/Diploma (At least 1-2 years' experience) in Mechanical Engineering

Key functions of this position will include the following;
*Checks shift handover book upon arrival and discusses with previous supervisor and then prepares new shift maintenance acting as described in the handover book.
*Checks if all shift mechanics are present and allocated as per facility requirement
*Writes regular report in the hand over book and monitors down time to make sure all failure are correctly reported.
*Informs relevant personnel upon completion rectifying the plant problem
*Supervises annual maintenance and weekly maintenance
*Confirms that store issues from subordinates are required and signs the requisition
*Allocates weekend jobs to mechanics as directed by production maintenance Engineer
Qualifications and Experience
*FTC in Mechanical Engineering
*At least 1-3 years' experience
