The CMC Automobiles Limited is currently looking to fill the position of SERVICE ADVISOR in one of its branches in Tanzania.
Within this context, s/he fulfills the following tasks:
Tasks:
-Carry out vehicle check-listing to all vehicles without fail noting down any physical damages e.g. paint damages / corrosion and dents.
-Entering precise description and itemize all customer concerns on the repair order ensuring that all other relevant details are entered on the repair order.
-Print out the repair order and "rule-off" under the last customer concern.
-Obtaining pre-approval from the customer at the time of interactive reception process.
-Obtaining customer signature on the repair order and make sure no repairs are done on the vehicle without documented written or verbal approval from the customer.
-Submitting the repair order to the job control and communicate with the job controller and other workshop staff. Making consistent follow-ups with each and every customer during the time of service and when the car is completed.
-Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives for concern verification and quality inspection if required and duly approved by the immediate superior; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
-Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
-Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates, and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns.
-Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
Other Duties/Additional Tasks:
-Enhances company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
-To achieve Team and Personal monthly financial target set by the Management
-Any other related duties assigned by his/her superior
Required Entry Qualifications and Competencies:
-High school diploma/Vocation Training or equivalent qualification, and studies in business, and computing
-Minimally 2-5 years of working experience in a similar position with references
-With good communication and problem solving skills and able to work under pressure
-Substantial proficiency in computer applications
