Futures Group managed Sexual HIV Prevention Program (SHIPP) in South Africa is a flagship bilateral project of USAID that aims to measurably boost HIV prevention by building the leadership capacity of the Department of Health, Department of Basic Education, Department of Social Development and the South African National AIDS Council to fulfill constitutionally mandated planning, coordination, and implementation responsibilities through the provision of technical assistance.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible to provide comprehensive financial support to the Futures Group Programme Office, by handling day to day financial transactions in the office, maintenance of the petty cash, assisting technical team in preparing budgets, regular payments to vendors and supporting technical directors in cash flow preparation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Degree or Diploma in business management, finance, accounting, or other related discipline;
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in different aspects of project accounting;
- 5 years’ experience required in accounting and reporting for donor funded projects or programs;
- Demonstrated capacity to manage operational staff;
- Understanding of USAID rules and regulations regarding accounting, reporting and auditing (desirable).
