Training Officer , CARE International in Tanzania

Position Description:

CARE Tanzania is looking for an experienced Training Officer for this exciting program. S/he will play a major role in overseeing the formation of new VSLs. This position will be responsible for training training VAs/Franchisees in VSL group formation, Financial literacy and financial linkage; Monitor theVAs/Franchisee training provided to the groups; Establish a clear understanding of the active VAs in Kilimanjaro and develop selection criteria for VAs (adapted) and Franchisees (new).  Select and train new franchisees and VAs with refresher trainings to older. Train VAs/ Franchisees on group health check, MIS data collection and linkage assessment procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

A minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field; proven skills and experience in training, monitoring and evaluation; knowledge and experience in community based microfinance[ VSL,SACCOS, MFI, CBMF]; community development  and mobilization skills; high integrity and trust and be able to work under minimal supervision in remote environment; problem solving skills and make correct political judgments as well as Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Effectiveness, Diversity, Integrity, Initiating Action, Communicating with impact, Operational decision making, Building partnerships, Building commitment and Planning and organizing competencies.
