Niras Finland is currently looking for candidates for the tender for "Programme to Support Pro-poor Policy Development" (PSPPD), Phase 2, financed by the EU.
The phase 2 contributes to improved policies, building systems and institutional capacity to reduce poverty and inequality through evidence-based policy-making. Through building the institutions of government and a body of scholarship on poverty and inequality, the ability of the government to address these challenges will be improved. The over-arching theme, therefore, for phase 2 is the reduction of poverty and inequality.
Qualifications Required Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted
- A Masters Degree in the Social Sciences, Economics or equivalent domains;
- Conceptual and analytical skills on public policy and public administration;
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including ability to prepare reports and conduct presentations with high level stakeholders;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to perform efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Research skills particularly in the applied/policy and socio-economic areas would be an asset
Professional Experience Required
General professional experience:
- Preferably 15 years of relevant professional experience with a minimum of 10 years required;
- Experience within the public and/or civic sectors;
- Experience in project management
- Experience of knowledge/training management and procurement planning would be an asset;
- Knowledge of, and experience in, working with research and academic institutions within the relevant local context would be an asset.
Specific professional experience:
- Experience in public sector projects and good knowledge of organisational development;
- Experience around the management/implementation of professional development and research processes would be advantageous;
- An understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks would be an asset.
