Description
Niras Finland is currently looking for candidates for the tender for "Programme to Support Pro-poor Policy Development" (PSPPD), Phase 2, financed by the EU.
The phase 2 contributes to improved policies, building systems and institutional capacity to reduce poverty and inequality through evidence-based policy-making. Through building the institutions of government and a body of scholarship on poverty and inequality, the ability of the government to address these challenges will be improved. The over-arching theme, therefore, for phase 2 is the reduction of poverty and inequality.
Qualifications Required Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted
A Masters Degree in the Social Sciences, Economics or equivalent domains;
Conceptual and analytical skills on public policy and public administration;
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including ability to prepare reports and conduct presentations with high level stakeholders;
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to perform efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines;
Research skills particularly in the applied/policy and socio-economic areas would be an asset

Professional Experience Required
- The successful candidate must possess qualifications, of that of an Administrator;
- Strong planning and co-ordination skills;
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel will be required
General professional experience:
- At least 5 years experience is a requirement;
- Experience in developing and implementing appropriate office systems and procedures
Specific professional experience:
- Previous experience in EU or other donors financial and procurement procedures will be an advantage;
- Experience in undertaking the administrative and financial aspects of a project;
- Experience in undertaking some administrative support for study tours, visits, training events, workshops, international travel and local visits.
Duration: 41 months
