Financial Manager Job in Tanzania

Duration:2 years (24 working months; may be working in phases)
Key qualifications:

-          MSc relevant to development of financial management and funding mechanisms
-          Working experience in management positions
-          Experience in developing financing mechanisms relevant to the proposed TGIS
-          Experience in financial management of international projects
-          Minimum 10 years of working experience, including at least 2 years of working experience in developing
-          Professional command of written and spoken English
Main Functions:
-          Manage the TGIS team (sub-team under the overall TA team)
-          Plan and execute the establishment of the TGIS
-          Manage the TGIS
-          Manage the contracts for any outsourced services
-          Support the Programme Director in the Program’s financial management issues
-          Capacity building (training, development of manuals) on financial management and funding
-          Develop Program’s procurement mechanisms and procedures
Specific Functions:
-          Support the Programme Director with the Program’s financial management activities
-          Prepare TORs for studies and research on economic and financial issues and supervise their execution
-          Provide expertise to capacity building and training related to financial management
-          Overview, supervise and manage the TGIS component together with the Plantation Forestry Advisor
-          Plan and lobby for additional financing for TGIS from other donors, particularly for the subsequent project phases
-          Plan and prepare for the subsequent project phases of the TGIS, and for the eventual phasing out / termination
