We have an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Director of Sales and Marketing at our Four Seasons Safari Lodge in Serengeti, Tanzania. Based in Arusha, this position oversees all aspects related to the ongoing process of repositioning this popular lodge as part of the Four Seasons portfolio. As the crow flies, Arusha is about 150 miles east of the Lodge, however the drive time is approximately 7 hours.
Interested individuals should have a huge appetite for adventure
and have demonstrated a skill set for working independently and remotely.
Requirements
This key position will require an individual who:
· Thinks about the big picture and able to have a vision but create step by step action plans for executing.
· Has worked with diverse cultures and is a current established leader of a team
· Is capable of creating a strategic and thoughtful business plan, which provides the road map to success:
- with key tactics linked toward a direct connection with local DMCs and to be embraced by all relevant international “luxury” wholesale partners and key retailers; in addition, to the international incentive group market.
- Define the broad-based strategies necessary for the business to be successful.
- Comprehend how to effectively position, communicate and market to the relevant consumer.
- Knowledgeable at deploying both traditional and digital marketing communications tactics (public relations and social media) to support hotel and its facilities.
- Develop a strategic segmentation mix, and deploy successful sales management tactics required to stabilize occupancy within a destination which experiences a manic shift in demand by season
