MSI seeks an individual with graphic design capabilities to assist MSI’s proposal process and Communications Department. The ideal candidate will be able to create layouts and graphics to enhance Word documents and presentations. They should be comfortable using styles and complicated formatting across all Microsoft Office Software. The position will report directly to the Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Relations. The candidate should be confident working with different teams and on multiple projects. They should be familiar with using the Adobe Creative Suite and prepress process to assist in creating marketing materials. Attention to detail is a must!
Responsibilities:
• Create attractive proposals and presentations from text-heavy Word documents.
• Develop graphics, including but not limited to branding, charts, graphs, info graphics, formatting, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Balance multiple projects with various teams and deadlines simultaneously.
• Format and brand Word and Excel documents.
• Assist with marketing materials and printing.
• Create e-newsletters and announcements.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years’ work experience.
• Prior experience creating graphics in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to use styles in Microsoft Word to format and brand.
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign.
• Ability to effectively present ideas—both verbally and visually.
• Creative problem solving abilities.
• Ability to make creative decisions to improve the readability of text heavy documents.
• Require desktop publishing, usability and design background.
