PRINCIPAL TELECOM IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER
REF: TECHOLOGY-PTIE-MAR-2013
Reporting to the Regional Implementation Manager, the holder of the position will be in charge of the delivery of capacity and optimization projects as planned by the Radio Access Engineering and Regional Optimization teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and manage site surveys to ascertain for capacity/optimization projects implementation;
- Ensure that proper project scope is captured; and planned KPIs met at least cost and on time;
- Contractor supervision and management to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects;
- Co-ordination with Field Operations and contractors to ensure proper comprehensive tests and acceptance is conducted during and after optimization work;
- Liaison with RAE and Network Engineering to ensure activation of additional capacity and address any quality issues arising;
- Management and delivery of projects as planned to address customer complaints;
- Share knowledge and best practice with other engineers both within and in other sections/departments.
Minimum requirements
- BSC in Electrical/Telecommunication engineering with 6 years’ experience in the Mobile Industry;
- Strong project management skills;
- Knowledge of internal processes and procedures;
- Knowledge of 2G and 3G network topologies is mandatory. Knowledge of and experience related to 4G will be an added advantage;
- Proactive, analytical, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude and good organization skills;
- Team player with ability to inspire and motivate the team to deliver stretched targets.
