Modular Technician at GEITA GOLD MINE

Geita Gold Mine (GGM) is situated in the Lake Victoria Goldfields of North West Tanzania. It is located within Mwanza Region, about 85 km’s from the City and 20 km’s South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria and 5 km’s West of Geita town. The Mine is owned and managed by Anglo Gold Ashanti Limited.

Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill a vacant position of Geotechnician in Mining Technical Services Department.

POSITION: Modular Technician (1 post)

WORKING TO: Fleet Management System First Line Manager (FLM).

CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To ensure the installation of new hardware component of the FMS is maintained to achieve maximum availability of the system

QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma / Degree in Electronics / FTC in auto electrician.

JOB ROLE:

1. Ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of faults minimizing frequency of revisiting the same equipment 
2. Perform daily reports and remote monitoring to identify hardware faults, with the aim of identifying and repairing such faults before they are reported by end users
3. Communicate all important issues to FMS FLM and other FMS team members

REQUIREMENTS:

• Exposure to mining preferably in Geology or Geotechnical field.
• Should have a Tanzania driving license.
• Self Motivated and strong command of English language.
