Investment Promotion Expert

The overall objective of the Transformation Trigger Facility (TTF) is to accelerate Ethiopia’s economic transformation, and through this attain economic growth, skill development and employment creation in the manufacturing sector and contribute to the country’s goal of achieving a middle-income status by 2020-23.

IDI is looking for an Investment Promotion Expert that will provide support to the Ethiopian Investment Agency, Ministry of Industry and various chambers and associations. The expert’s role will involve developing institutional analytical capacity, delivering workshops, identifying target markets and investors, managing investors, and developing feedback and aftercare services.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Masters degree in Economics, Finance, management, Investment Promotion, Industrial Economics or other relevant field;

·         Preferably 15 but at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in international and domestic investment promotion;

·         Preferably 10 but at least 5 years  of relevant professional experience in working with/building capacity of investment promotion agencies;

·         Must have experience in development of investment appraisal skills, strengthening institutional framework, identification of target markets, preparation of investment briefs, and delivery of seminars;

·         Must have experience in developing one stop shops;

·         Experience in developing, implementing and managing EDF financed projects highly desirable;

·         Good IT skills highly desirable.
