Business Innovation Centre Expert

The overall objective of the Transformation Trigger Facility (TTF) is to accelerate Ethiopia’s economic transformation, and through this attain economic growth, skill development and employment creation in the manufacturing sector and contribute to the country’s goal of achieving a middle-income status by 2020-23.

IDI is looking for a Business Innovation Centre Expert to support the establishment of an innovation centre for SMEs. The expert will establish a physical and technical plan for the centre, develop a business plan, and define the identification and section criteria of tenants.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Private Sector Development, SME Development, Industry, Management and other related fields;

·         Preferably 15 but at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in SME Development;

·         Preferably 15 but at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in establishing/managing business innovation/incubation centre;

·         Experience in providing training in Business Management highly desirable;

·         Experience working in at least one priority sector; leather, textile, agri-processing, pharmaceuticals highly desirable;

·         Knowledge of the EU Project Management Cycle and procurement methods an asset.
