About the Organization: 
The East Africa Social Enterprise Network (EASEN) is a start-up membership organization promoting the practice of social entrepreneurship in East Africa. EASEN has its head office in Nairobi, Kenya and a chapter in Uganda.

About the Job: 
EASEN is seeking a Volunteer Manager. S/he will work in consultation with the board. The position is based in Nairobi.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Develop a database of partners, beneficiaries, donors, and experts and keep them informed of new programs as well as tracking opportunities with key funding;
• Collect and edit news for e-newsletter and success stories from different sources for use in a variety of purposes and for a variety of audiences;
• Provide website support - both technical and editorial, update content, publish news stories and other tasks as needed and maintain and administer social networking site information;
• Develop, implement, and diversify revenue streams to ensure organization is fully resourced by writing proposals and designing fees for service programs;
• Establish and sustain networks with government, corporations, peers, community groups, and organizations in East Africa and the world;
• Spearhead the establishment of EASEN chapters locally and in the region.

Qualifications: 

• Relevant education and experience in fundraising, project management, entrepreneurship, and non-profit management;
• Prior experience in establishing membership or related organizations;
• Excellent communication and networking skills;
• Experience in advocacy and lobbying;
• Self-starter willing to work with minimal supervision.
