PATH is seeking a Knowledge Asset Manager for the Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF), a United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) funded program in Tanzania aiming to drive innovative approaches to improving the quality, value for money and sustainability of basic services in the education, health and water and sanitation sectors. Based in Dar es Salaam, this individual will develop a knowledge management system to collect information, understanding, and lessons learned of innovation and ‘innovation ecosystems’ (the wider network, institutions and culture necessary to foster and support innovation), implementation science and change processes, and getting research and evidence into policy and practice. This position will:
- Develop an overall framework to guide HDIF knowledge leverage management (KLM) and present a methodology to define and document KLM strategy.
- Determine technology needs for HDIF KLM and implementing these technologies.
- Develop a system to collect relevant data on the robust testing and evaluation of grantee innovations.
- Oversee the development of HDIF systems to strengthen the evidence base that will capture lessons learnt.
- Design and manage business processes that enhance and facilitate HDIF learning.
- Institutionalize processes to facilitate the sharing of HDIF learning and dissemination of lessons learnt.
- Measure and evaluate the quality and value of HDIF innovations and the translation of findings and lessons learned into policy and practice.
- Ability to take complex technical reports and adapt them to different audiences.
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English; Kiswahili or other local language is desired.
- Well-organized and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage graphic design and communication vendor contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to establish excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Passion for innovation and communicating the benefits of innovation into health, education and/WASH sectors.
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Communications or relevant area.
- A minimum of 5 years field program experience related to either health, education or water and sanitation sectors.
- Demonstrated experience developing a knowledge management system.
- A minimum of 3 years in developing communications strategies which focus on distilling learning and ensuring it is disseminated to multiple stakeholders.
