BILLING ACCOUNTANT - 1 POST Ref. No 01
Reports to: Regional Accountant

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for supervision of the billing process to ensure that customer bills are produced in time and are accurate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•In-charge of billing, data entry and meter reading sections.
•Supervise the meter reading cycle to ensure meter reading is completed within the scheduled time.
•Check the exception list before the data are entered into the system to ensure correctness of customer bills.
•Supervise the process of making correction in the billing system to ensure that the corrections are genuine.
•Plans, monitors and controls the activities of the section in order to ensure the most effective utilization of resources and achievement of objectives and targets.
•Supervise data entry activities into the Company billing systems to ensure that all data are correctly and timely entered.
•Recommend to the Regional Accountant on the production of bills after checking for correctness to ensure that the bills are correct and produced in time.

•Update customer accounts after checking the validation check list.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for proper construction/maintenance of distribution lines in the region /district.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•To ensure the holes for poles erection are excavated according to the company standards and measurements.
•To ensure the poles are erected in the holes as set standards and measurements.
•To ensure the electrical conducts are properly stringed in distribution lines basing on engineering instructions and safety rules.
•To ensure that power / service line is connected to customers timely and according to the company standard, while observing customers safety to their lives and properties not to be endangered by the power supplied.
•To ensure that reported and unreported temporary breakdown are dealt with immediately and ensure power supply reliability to customers.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Vocational Certificate of Electrical: Grade III or Level I, Grade II or Level II and Grade I or Level III from recognised learning institutions
•Form IV/VI

REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package based on performance and consummate with the responsibility will apply to the successful candidates. The position terms of employment are performance based unspecified contract.
