The Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) in partnership with the Community Forestry Network of Tanzania (MJUMITA) is implementing Phase 2 of the 'Transforming Tanzania's Charcoal Sector Project'. The project is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. As part of this project TFCG is seeking applications from qualified women and men for the following positions:
Project Officer - Sustainable Charcoal, Morogoro or Kilosa District
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc or higher degree in a subject related to natural resources management, forestry and / or agriculture.
- At least 3 years experience in working with rural communities, preferably in relation to participatory forest management, sustainable charcoal production or community development.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of field-based activities to build community capacity in relation to sustainable charcoal production, sustainable wood harvesting and forest-based enterprise development.

Project Officer - Community Development and Governance, Morogoro or Kilosa District
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc or higher degree in a subject related to natural resources management, community development, forestry and / or agriculture.
- At least 3 years experience in working with rural communities, preferably in relation to participatory forest management, governance or community development.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of field-based activities to build community capacity in relation to good land and natural resources governance, business skills and microfinance.

Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc or higher degree in a subject related to natural resources management and / or forestry.
- At least 3 years experience in working with rural communities, preferably in relation to participatory forest management, monitoring and assessment.

- Implementation of field-based activities in relation to community-based forest management, particularly forest monitoring and assessment.

Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc or higher degree in agriculture.
- At least 5 years experience in working with small-scale farmers on improved agricultural practices.

Capacity Building Officer, Dar es Salaam
Qualifications and Experience:
- MSc or higher degree in natural resources management.
- At least 5 years experience in working in the natural resources sector with particular experience in capacity building.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of capacity building programme for government staff and other stakeholders on sustainable, enterprise-oriented community based forest management and mainstreaming of the approach in government plans.

Finance Officer, Dar es Salaam
Qualifications and Experience:
- A CPA is a requirement.
- At least 5 years experience of financial management in the context of donor-funded projects.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the efficient and effective management of the TTCS project finances; preparation of financial reports; and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
