1998. It envisions seeing Tanzania without poverty and injustice in which every person enjoys
his/her right to a life of dignity. Currently, AATZ is looking for a qualified, experienced and
self-motivated person to fill in the following post:

Title: Program Officer LRP

Job
Role: To facilitate the planning and
implementation of Local Lights Program works. The key objective of this
position is to assist the program coordinator and take active part in the
planning and implementation of grassroots works, mobilization, organization and
empowerment of people living in poverty as well as local partners
Key
Responsibilities
- Take active part
in LRP strategic plan and annual plan development processes and facilitate
their implementation
- Mobilize,
sensitize, organize and empower communities in light of LRP strategy,
annual plans and the Country Strategy Paper
- Develop capacities
of Community Development Facilitators, community based organizations and
local government institutions
- Monitor and
supervise implementation of programs/projects and take active part in
review and evaluation of programs/projects
- Prepare periodic
and annual reports
- Support and
facilitate formation and strengthening of networks of organizations of people
living in poverty in the LRP
- Take active part
in research activities on selected issues affecting people living in
poverty and advocate for changes in policies and practices

Take active
part in pperforming
all sponsorship works
·
Take active part in
developing concept notes and proposals for fund raising
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Rural Development, economics, development
economics, and related social science fields from a
reputable higher learning institution.
·
At least 2 years’ experience in community development related works.
·
Knowledge and good skills in one (or more) of AATZ thematic areas
Agriculture & control over natural resources, governance, public &
corporate accountability and women rights).
·
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meeting
deadlines.
·
Work efficiently as a team player.
·
Sound skills in report writing.
·
Computer literate.
·
Ability to write quality proposals for fund raising
·
Understanding of programming issues and policy work at state, national
and international levels.
·
Understanding of gender
issues in development and demonstrable commitment to promoting women rights within
the organisation and in programme work.
