Our client Mingoyo Sawmill Co. Ltd is the Tanzanian manufacturer of semi finished components for music instruments; clarinets, bag pipes and oboe for export to Germany and other markets in Europe.

They require Forest Officers able to work primarily in the natural forest and identify Mature Blackwood trees for use in the manufacture of these musical instruments.

The ideal candidate would be based in Dar es Saalam.

Job Purpose: To identify mature Blackwood trees in a natural forest.

Skills:

• Should have experience working in a natural forest.
• Must hold a certificate or diploma in Forestry or similar relevant field
• Must demonstrate experience in sourcing and identifying in particular Blackwood trees.
• Must be able to work for weeks/months in the forest environment.
• Must be resilient and able to withstand conditions and challenges that may come from working in a natural forest.

The successful candidate will receive a salary, motorbike with fuel allowance, accommodation and commission on agreed targets.
