Development Production International (DPI) is responsible for Statoil’s existing international comprehensive portfolio of producing assets and planned field developments. DPI focuses on building business clusters and maximizing the value of our producing fields internationally.
In 2007 Statoil signed a production sharing agreement (PSA) for Block 2 with Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and the Government of Tanzania. Statoil Tanzania AS is the operator with 65% working interest with ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Limited as a partner with 35% interest.
In 2012, 2013 and 2014 Statoil and its partner made the significant Zafarani, Lavani, Tangawizi, Mronge and Piri discoveries in Block 2, which covers an area of approximately 5,500 square kilometres and lies in water depths between 1,500 to 3,000 meters. They are estimated to contain around 20 Tcf of Gas-in-place volumes and mark an important step towards a possible natural gas development in Tanzania.
Statoil is proud to be the lead partner in the future offshore and onshore development of the natural gas development in Tanzania.
The Finance & Control department undertakes communication with internal stakeholders, reporting of internal data for management use, statutory reporting, budgeting for the block 2 license, risk reporting and controller tasks. Accounting and Accounts Payable functions are undertaken by central, corporate functions, and Finance & control in Tanzania has the responsibility of overlooking the performance of these functions.
Statoil is looking for a qualified Tanzanian National to work as a Senior License Adminstrator in the F&C department.

Job description

  • Set up project plan for making the annual Annual Work Programme & Budget for the Tanzania Block Licence
  • Follow up the project plan and ensure delivery according to deadlines
  • Licence budgeting – with required, periodic updates internally and externally to partners
  • Internal Statoil Interaction with Exploration, Tanzania Gas Project, Technology, Projects and Drilling, Accounting, Performance Management etc.
  • Coordinate all actions with Asset Owner and Asset Owner Representative
  • Participation in License meetings. Ensure actions are followed up and done.

Qualifications

  • Higher education (University / business school) preferably master’s degree
  • 3-5yrs years of work experience
  • Excellent written and Oral Kiswahili and English Language skill
