Olleh Rwanda Networks, Ltd ("oRn Ltd") is a licensed company that has been incorporated under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Rwanda. The company is engaged in the business of providing & installing 4G LTE advanced technology within Rwanda.
In order to effectively accomplish its business objectives, oRn Ltd is looking for qualified and competent candidates to fill the following vacant positions.
I. Position: FOC Technician (2 Persons)
Key responsibilities.
- Perform Fiber optic cable installation activities that include among others, splicing and termination in ODF or OW, ODF/OTP fixation and ensuring the cable arrangement indoor/outdoor and in manhole as well.
- Troubleshooting fiber network links
- Provide first line technical support to customers
- Testing on a variety of equipment and records and analyze results for future network plan
- Perform inspection on existing fiber route
- Perform site survey and prepare the bill of quantities and drawings for new fiber connections
- Supervision of FOC works
- Work closely with transmission team to ensure the reliability of fiber network
- Testing on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results for future network optimization / upgrade plan
- Documentation for fiber network connection routes
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification, Experience, Skills & Competencies, required.
- Minimum A1 Certificate (Advanced Diploma) OR a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or related field.
- Having minimum 3 years' experience in FOC field
- Ability to learn, work at the field
- A person of proven integrity, highly motivated, innovative and a team player
- Having driving license of Category B would be added advantage
II.Position: Fixed Assets & Tax Accountant (1 Person)
Key Responsibilities
A. Fixed Asset
- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
- Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
- Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
- Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
- Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
- Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
- Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable.
- Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
- Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets and inventories.
- Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.
- Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
- Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, are assist the auditors in their inquiries.
- Prepare property tax returns.
- Represent the company during any audits by a government that involves fixed assets
- Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
- Responsible for company inventories management including in transit materials.
- Tracking all inventories requisition forms, stock cards.
- Providing monthly, quarterly and annual fixed assets and inventories management reports.
B. Tax
- Devise tax strategies to defer or eliminate tax payments
- Create tax data collection systems
- Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
- Prepare and update tax provision schedules
- Update the company sales tax database as tax rates change
- Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities
- Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings
- Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
- Research the basis for tax positions to ho taken
- Advise management regarding the tax impact of corporate strategies
- Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities
- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
- Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios
Required skills, competencies & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Holding full certificate in ACCA or CPA arc accounting is preferable.
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft office software.
- Knowledge of using sage pastel in fixed assets are inventory model.
- Working experience of at least 5 years in a fixed asset holding company.
- Excellent English communication, writing and presenting skills Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from Manager to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees ‘management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
- Be a person of proven integrity, high motivation, innovation and a team player.
