Niras Finland is currently looking for candidates for the tender for "Programme to Support Pro-poor Policy Development" (PSPPD), Phase 2, financed by the EU.
The phase 2 contributes to improved policies, building systems and institutional capacity to reduce poverty and inequality through evidence-based policy-making. Through building the institutions of government and a body of scholarship on poverty and inequality, the ability of the government to address these challenges will be improved. The over-arching theme, therefore, for phase 2 is the reduction of poverty and inequality.
Qualifications Required Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted
- A Masters Degree in the Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration or equivalent domains;
- Knowledge of, and experience in, the area of professional development and training;
- Knowledge of the local context is preferred;
- Experience with Development Co-operation Programmes is preferred
General professional experience:
- Preferably 10 years of relevant professional experience with a minimum of 5 years;
- Experience of the management of professional training related to public research and education domain;
- Ability to create and maintain networks within those fields where stakeholders have identified the need for skills strengthening and preferred means of support e.g. sourcing data, analysis, writing
- Experience in setting up and managing stakeholder data bases with experience of working on knowledge management and e-platforms would be advantageous
Specific professional experience:
- Experience within the public and/or civic sectors and working around professional development of high level role players;
- Experience of public (social and economic) policy making processes;
- Experience of and understanding of learning and application processes in a professional training environment;
- An ability to work collaboratively to support stakeholders in strengthening their capacity in ways that are conducive to the context in which they work is preferred.
