Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Regulatory Authority SSRA


The Chairperson of the Nomination Committee established under regulation 4(1) of the Social Security Regulations, 2009 invites interested Tanzanians with relevant qualifications as spelt out herein to apply for appointment as a Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Regulatory Authority.
The Social Security Regulatory Authority (SSRA) is a Government Regulatory Authority established bySSRA Act, No.8 of 2008. The SSRA's role is to regulate and supervise the Social Security Sector.
Duties and responsibilities are to;
Supervise functions of the Board as specified in the Act;
Call and preside over meetings of the Board;
Review, approve and sign all minutes of the Board;
Call special meetings of the Board where appropriate;
Evaluate the Board's effectiveness and implementation of improvements;
Act as a liaison between management and the Board; and
Any other necessary function for the benefit of the Board and the Authority at large
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor degree from a recognized university in one of the following fields; Social Security, Human Resource Management, finance, economics, and law. Possession of Master degree will be an added advantage.
At least ten (10) years of working experience at senior managerial position related to social security matters.
