Role and Responsibilities
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Tanzania requires the support of a contractor to conduct an end of program evaluation for the integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (iWASH) program and the coastal PWANI programs). The project has two distinct tasks: an end of program evaluation of the iWASH program and an en of program evaluation of the Coastal PWANI program. The evaluations shall be undertaken concurrently due to time constraints and to align with the CDCS planning process and new design phase for the Natural Resource Management program.
dTS is looking for a Team Leader to coordinate the overall evaluation effort and be responsible for editing and final compilation of the evaluation report.
The Team Leader will be the primary contact in country throughout the data collection process. He/she will coordinate the overall evaluation effort and be responsible for editing and final compilation of the evaluation report. He/She will travel with the team throughout the data collection period. The Team Leader must have a Master’s Degree in social or natural sciences, and must have at least 10 years of experience in performing evaluations preferably in similar programs. Past experience in evaluating projects in Tanzania and/or Africa is preferred.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Academic requirements (required or desired): A Master’s Degree in statistics, social sciences, or another relevant area.
- Country Experience Experience in Tanzania is preferred.
- Regional Experience : Experience in Africa is preferred.
- Total Years of professional experience : A minimum of 10 years performing evaluations.
- Total Years of experience in required area of expertise (required): 10 years.
- Level of communication/writing skills: A high level of writing in English is required.
