Job Title:	COST PLANNING AND REPORTING MANAGER
Reports To:	SUPPLY FINANCE MANAGER
Context/Scope:	Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa by geography and by population (approx 42m people, with a growth rate of 2.8%). It is a member of the East African Community whose headquarters is in Arusha in Tanzania. The largest population, however, is in Dar es Salaam, which is the commercial capital. Tanzania is well endowed agriculturally and has vast mineral resources in the western part of the country, where the largest urban centre is Mwanza.

Market Complexity:	SBL operates in a competitive environment and in a vast geography. The main player in the beer industry is Tanzania Breweries Ltd. (TBL), a subsidiary of SABMiller, who until recently were a third party manufacturer of EABL brands Tusker, Pilsner and Guinness. As a result of the cessation of the agreement between TBL and EABL, there is heightened competitive activity in that market. Inflation rates remain high in Tanzania (6.5% expected) and average income per capita is less than 1 USD per day. The GDP growth is estimated at 6.4% and is expected to grow to 7.1% as investment, trade and tourism pick up. There is growing consumer affluence and consumerism, giving rise to greater opportunities in our product categories.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Purpose of Role:	Assists in the analysis data and extracts and defines relevant information, interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial perfonmamce and or to project a financial probability. To compile, maintain and provide timely, relevant and acurate financial perfomance data on operations team, cost improvement team and other departments as needed. In doing so, this individual will perform the monthly accounting close process, prepare and update monthly reports, track perfomance against projections, work with operations and maintenance department personell to understand costs impacts of operations, work on implementing corrective action plans to improve cost performamnce, investigate data and operational inconsistencies, prepare and analyze monthly financial and operational reports.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities	To lead the annual standard cost rollup in SAP for all Raw Materials, Packaging Components, Finished goods (Beer and Spirits) and Bulk beer. Annual updates of BOMs and implementation of data for both existing and new SKUs and provide data for new materials updates. To cost and advise on a range of performance pay rates to support the decision in the annual plan. Close knowledge on the moving average prices of Raw materials and Services Prepare revised transfer prices and get signoff for SAP load Cost of Sales Annual planning. Preparation of Monthly and Annual BPM reports Variance Analysis in all aspects of Cost of Sales. Circulate the materials usage and PPVs reports and partner with procurement to align on the Purchase Price variances reported for procurement tracker. Circulate and get commentary on all the Cost centre reports from all the Cost centre owners Circulate waste and waste tracker highlighting the key drivers.
Qualifications and Experience Required:	Qualified CPA(T)/ACCA/ACMA or B.COM. Sound people management skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge a team to deliver results. Knowledge of all aspects of a finance function, including financial accounting and statutory reporting requirements. Extensive knowledge of Excel Atleast 3 years experience in MFFG Knowledge on SAP will be added advantage.
