Location:
This position will be located in Naivasha, Kenya Region.
Main responsibilities:
•Provide Strategic Leadership to the Programme and partnership, ensuring relevant stakeholders are mobilized and sustainable impacts are achieved in an efficient way.
•Daily management and monitoring of the Programme and coordination of Programme partners, ensuring progress is made, concerns addressed and outputs achieved in an efficient and transparent manner.
•To report bi-annual to WWF network, the Program Management Unit and donors on Programme progress and results against work plans and objectives and quarterly on financial progress.
•Represent the Programme to external stakeholders and donors at local, national and international level, to create exposure, advocate for its goals, exchange learnings and best practices and to raise funds.
•Prepare and follow-up to support missions from Dutch partners and Programme visits by donors and other relevant stakeholders.
What you need:
Required Qualifications
•An advanced University degree or equivalent education in a relevant field: Natural Resource Management, Environment Sciences, Development Studies, Conservation Biology or any related relevant field;
•A minimum of 10 years work experience in a relevant field, e.g. conservation or development, preferably in the area of in Natural Resource Management, Land and Water Management or Hydrology;
•At least 5 years progressive management experience;
•Proven experience with public private partnerships and in managing complex multi-stakeholder programmes, partnerships or consortia, with an ability to work with public, private and civil society stakeholders;
•Strong management skills, being able to plan and deliver results on time;
•Fluent in spoken and written English, with proven skills to write reports and proposals.
