Jamii Bora Bank is the ‘Fastest Growing Bank in Kenya’ with an impressive customer base of over 300,000 bank accounts and opening 12 branches a year. The Bank is focused on innovation and is in the process of transforming to become a leading mid-tier Bank by 2017. In order to do this the Bank is focused on micro finance, personal and mortgage banking, Treasury,n institutional banking Agri-Banking and SME Banking as flagship business lines which will be delivered on the most innovative channel platform that can be quickly rolled out across the region and beyond. The main purpose of the position is to grow JBBL corporate deposits
The candidates for the job must be energetic and self-motivated with strong analytical skills and a desire to constantly challenge status quo and better yesterday’s records. He/she must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead from the front and provide inspiration and motivation to a team of young professionals at head office and across all our branches. In addition the candidate must be commercially aware and passionate about entrepreneurship and enterprise in all its forms and in all economic sectors and the potential that this has to transform Africa.
QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree in Business related course – Upper Second or GPA 3.0.
At least 3-4 years successful experience in similar position or equivalent.
Practical experience in use of Microsoft Office Packages.
Passion and commitment to quality service performance
Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
Financial analysis
Computer literacy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Growth in deposit volumes and institutional accounts.
Adequacy of personal competence to effectively perform Account Relationship Management tasks.
Consistency in adherence to and application of established policies, processes, and tools to achieve optimal efficiency, compliance and cost containment.
Minimization of exposures to and impact of risks associated with KYC, AML and portfolio maintenance.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
Interpersonal skills to create and maintain relevant business networks; and to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance.
Technical skills to effectively perform Account Relationship Management activities/tasks in a manner that consistently achieves high quality standards or benchmarks.
Sales skills to prospect and close business.
Knowledge of corporate/Institutional Banking products.
Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
Self-empowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support performance and customer-service oriented culture.
