Responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve the project's supply chain operations for all commodities
- Provide management oversight of procurement planning, procurement operations, supplier relationship management and development, inventory management, freight and logistics, warehouse management, quality assurance, customer service help desk, and related information systems
- Ensure procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in strategically sourcing and procuring quality assured commodities in compliance with USAID regulations, client requirements, and project procedures at a competitive price point
- Manage procurement and logistic staff, some of which may be located remotely
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in supply chain, contracting, finance, business, or management preferred; or bachelor's degree and an additional five years of work experience
- Minimum seven years of experience managing procurement for organizations providing global procurement and/or freight forwarding services
- Proven skill in forming, leading, and managing high-performing teams, including experience managing teams remotely
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Experience with HIV/AIDS, family planning, and malaria programs preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in a foreign language of USAID-supported countries desirable; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
