The UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) is now accepting applications for its three fellowship programmes: UNU-IAS PhD Fellowships, UNU-IAS Postdoctoral Fellowships, and JSPS-UNU Postdoctoral Fellowships. The closing date for applications is 15 March 2014. The Institute’s fellowship programmes provide young scientists, policymakers, and developing country scholars with the opportunity to expand their intellectual vision beyond a single scientific field. UNU-IAS PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowships are offered for a period of 12 months beginning in September 2014. JSPS-UNU Postdoctoral Fellowships, which also starts in September 2014, are offered for 24 months. Postdoctoral candidates must have completed a PhD degree, and PhD Fellowship candidates must be at the advanced stage of their doctoral dissertation.
