Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical guidance to the field office teams in the areas of malaria commodities distribution and country-level malaria control
- Advise on implementation of new interventions and related technologies to achieve PMI and USAID's malaria health outcomes
- Provide daily oversight and direction of the PMI task order, as well as implementation of task order activities and achievement of project goals
- Ensure implementation is in compliance with provision of the task order contract and USAID and U.S. government contracting rules and policies
- Provide direction and guidance for staff and consultants regarding making contacts with international partners, other malaria donors, and technical experts as needed
- Advanced degree in management, international development, or public health preferred; or bachelor's degree and an additional five years of work experience
- Minimum seven years of experience supporting field programs related to malaria; experience with programs with multicountry field offices preferred
- Proven skill in forming, leading, and managing high-performing teams, including experience managing teams remotely
- Experience managing consultants and technical experts at a global level
- Proven ability to work with cooperating partners and government officials in implementing complex programs
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in a foreign language of USAID-supported countries desirable; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
