Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical guidance on approaches for implementing HIV/AIDS activities in collaboration with local partners including USAID partners and other donors
- Provide strategic oversight and direction of the HIV/AIDS task order, as well as implementation of task order activities and achievement of project goals
- Determine annual priorities in collaboration with USAID and local partners, including beneficiary groups, work sites, and support services
- Provide direction and guidance for staff and consultants regarding making contacts with USAID, PEPFAR, CDC, DOD, other donors, and implementing partners
- Advanced degree in management, international development or public health preferred; or bachelor's degree and an additional five years of work experience
- Minimum seven years of experience supporting field programs related to HIV/AIDS, including experience with programs with multicountry field offices preferred
- Skilled in forming, leading, and managing high-performing teams, including experience managing teams remotely
- Experience managing consultants and technical experts at a global level
- Ability to work with cooperating partners and government officials in implementing complex programs
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in a foreign language of USAID-supported countries desirable; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
