Description

-Project's title: 11th EDF Regional Programming Facilitation services in support to the Regional Authorising Officer, the National Authorising Officers and the EU Delegations in the East African Community – 2nd phase
-Job title: Key Expert 3 (Senior) specialist of peace and security issues, including migration.
-Number of working days: indicatively 45 working days

Qualifications and skills:

• Masters degree in International relations, Peace and Security or any developmentrelated field;
• Strong communication and team-work skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Project Cycle Management;
• Fluency in written and spoken English;
• Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant IT applications

Experience:

• 12 years of experience in the field of peace and security, including one or more fields related to election observation and conflict mediation, support to democratisation, good governance, rule of law and human rights, cross-border issues /migration.
• Demonstrated experience in development cooperation with at least 2 years in project management on projects of regional nature;
• Experience in project management in ACP Countries, preferably in East Africa and understanding of and experience in EC project cycle management, as well as EU procurement procedures for External Aid. At least one EU funded assignment must be demonstrat
