Qualifications and skills:
• Masters degree in a field relevant to the assignment such as Agriculture, Environmental Science, or Natural Resources Management.
• Strong communication and team-work skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Project Cycle Management;
• Fluency in written and spoken English;
• Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant IT applications.
Experience:
• 12 years of experience in the field of Natural Resources Management Policies and Programmes, including anti-poaching measures plus one or more fields related to drought resilience, water management, biodiversity conservation, fisheries resources, and management of mineral resources;
• Demonstrated experience in development cooperation with at least 2 years in project management on projects of regional nature;
• Experience in project management in ACP Countries, preferably in East Africa and understanding of and experience in EC project cycle management, as well as EU procurement procedures for External Aid. At least one EU funded assignment must be demonstrated.
