Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the main point of contact for financial management issues related to assigned program task order
- Manage annual and periodic budgeting and ensure that budgets are being managed appropriately
- Manage project and organization expenditures through payment review and approvals
- Develop project budgeting guidelines and develop/update other financial management procedures
- Coordinate with USAID on funding, budgeting, and financial management issues
- Oversee finance teams, including finance teams located in field office
- Ensure all financial-related work is compliant with USAID rules and regulations
- Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or management preferred; or bachelor's degree and an additional five years of work experience
- Minimum seven years of experience managing the finances of U.S. government-funded programs with multicountry field offices
- Proven skill in forming, leading, and managing high-performing teams
- Ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing complex programs
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
- Experience with HIV/AIDS, family planning, and malaria programs preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in a foreign language of USAID-supported countries desirable; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred
