The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a private, non-denominational, development agency creative and effective solution to problems that impede social and economic development. AKF –Tanzania is implementing a multi-input area development programme-the Coastal Rural Support Program, Tanzania (CRSPT) in Mtwara and Lindi Regions of Southern Tanzania. CRSPT includes range of intervesions in agricultural production, market development, access to finance, health and education with an overall goal to improve the quality of life and social wellbeing of people in Lindi and Mtwara regions. CRSPT is an ambitious and innovative programme with a dynamic team of over 125 members based in the two regions. • A masters degree in Management, human resources management, social or business studies.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in human resource management preferably in a non –governmental organization.
• Conversant with Tanzania labor laws and industrial relations system.
• Experience in managing staff located in multi-locations within a multi-component development programme.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Kiswahili a necessity.
• Strong and proven ICT Skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a large multi-cultural team.
MAIN ROLE:
Reporting to the Programme Director of CRSPT, the Human Resources Manager will have overall responsibility for implementation of human resource policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance with labour laws; development and implementation of human resource plans; performance management; training and development
S/he will provide a range of human resource management services including, recruitment and induction, salary and benefits administration, employee relations and welfare services, employee information management; and support organizational development initiatives within programme.
