Agricultural Officer, Korogwe
The 'New Generation of Watershed Management in Africa' project aims to improve the livelihoods of communities through the integration of more ecologically sustainable and economically astute strategies including the adoption of conservation agriculture. The project operates in 21 villages in Korogwe and Lushoto Districts. The Agricultural Officer is responsible for providing training on conservation agriculture, agroforestry and silviculture to small scale farmers in the participating villages. The project is financed by Gorta and is expected to continue until December 2015. Candidates should have a BSc in Agriculture; and at least five years experience in working with small scale farmers in Tanzania.
