World Bank Country Health Specialist

The World Bank seeks applications for a part-time Country Health Specialist to support the Field Health Services team in the Health Services Department. The mission of the Joint Bank/Fund Health Services Department (HSD) is to serve the staff and management of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund by promoting good health and contributing to a healthy work environment. The successful candidate will:
(1) Provide coordination and management of medical evacuations for staff and dependents (2) Provide advice to World Bank Group staff/families based in the field on health related matters (3) Perform Medical Duty Officer responsibilities on rotating basis to manage after hours emergencies (4) Provide coordination of care for severe chronic cases of staff and dependents located in the field (5) Monitor and evaluate program by participating in data analysis and identification of actionable items
Qualifications required:
• Advanced degree (Nurse Practitioner, Masters in Nursing, Masters in Public Health) in Nursing from an accredited school, or equivalent professional credentials combined with relevant education and experience. • Ten or more years relevant work experience. • Valid and current Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice licensure in DC, MD or VA. • Experience working overseas and fluency in French are a plus. • Discretion and tact in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive medical information. • Thorough knowledge and use of computer office technology such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
