About the Job:
CRS is seeking a Training and Program Quality Specialist for the Expanding Financial Inclusion (EFI) Project. S/he will be responsible to ensure that the EFI project is executed to high technical standards, through training and monitoring. S/he will be responsible for the design and delivery of training programs, implementation monitoring, and for MIS deployment.

S/he will be responsible to ensure that the EFI project is executed to high technical standards, through training and monitoring. S/he will be responsible for the design and delivery of training programs, implementation monitoring, and for MIS deployment.
Note: This position is contingent upon the award of funding from the donor.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assess the capacity and training needs of project staff;
- Design and deliver training interventions (trainer-of trainers, face-to-face learning, on-line learning, mentoring, and coaching) for project staff on the PSP - SILC methodology;
- Strengthen the capacity of country program staff to train and support implementing partners;
- Monitor training delivery and program implementation, through field visits to country programs and partners;
- Design a “pro-poor” PSP-SILC implementation approach and related training curriculum;
- Support the development of a training and marketing package for a mobile money linkage financial product for SILC groups;
- Ensure the MIS meets project needs, and train and mentor staff on its use;
- Analyze MIS data and translate it into programmatic recommendations;
- Source, adapt, and roll-out a microenterprise management curriculum;
- Manage the French translation for tools and curriculum;
- Assist country programs in recruiting the EFI project officer;
- Stay abreast of relevant developments in the microfinance industry, in particular the savings group sub-sector as an active participant in the SEEP savings-led working group.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Development or related field, or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in international development, 3 of which based in a developing country;
- Minimum of 3 years work experience with savings group implementation – with a preference for community-agent and/or fee-for-service approaches;
- Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English, or vice-versa;
- Practical experience in curriculum design and training of adults;
- Prior experience using the VSL associates savings group MIS (Excel-based or online database);
- Experience with financial product development and/or mobile money products desired;
- Oral and written communication skills;
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a timely manner;
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in diverse geographic and cultural settings;
- Teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills;
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the work time.
