MAWASCO Technical Manager Job

Reporting functionally and administratively to the Managing Director, the Technical Manager will be responsible for assisting management and the Board in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by furnishing them with reports containing analyses, recommendations, counsel and information concerning the activities/operations reviewed including Technical management system.
Key Duties

Reporting directly to the Managing Director

Planning, designing and implementation of water projects

Maintenance of water rising mains, services lines, sewerage pumping station, oxidation ponds, water treatment plant and meter maintenance workshops.

Planning, designing, implementation and management of all major and minor water and sanitation projects.

Maintenance of all company technical records and designs.

Developing departmental staff on Technical skills, culture change, customer relations, training and formulating staff motivation policies.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering,

Applicants with at least three (3) years experience preferably in water and sewerage utility operations in a management position.

Should be Excellent in analytical and computer skills

The candidate should have a good demonstration of project management skills with adequate experience in operation and maintenance.

The Board expects the suitable candidate to be highly innovative, team player, a person of proven integrity, self driven and motivated

The candidate should be people oriented and have a demonstrated leadership qualities with high need for achievement
