Position Title: 1 Manager, Talent Acquisition & Management
Reprting to: Human Resources Director
Location: HQ, DSM

Job purpose:
Overall responsibility for attracting and retaining right talent in Tanzania, by leading talent acquisition process and ensuring talent management process is in order to position Airtel as a strong employer brand which will enable the organization to meet its objective.

Supporting Activities
1. To design and implement strategies to attract and hire best in class talent 
  • Designing sourcing strategies for Tanzania
  • Designing healthy recruitment mix
  • Identify and tap internal and external channels of recruitment
  • Maintain healthy relationships with Recruitment Consultants
  • Ensure pipeline for niche positions
2. To develop plans to achieve Recruitment Opex optimization  
  • Monitor Recruitment Opex
  • Ensure effective optimization of Recruitment Opex through value for  money approach
  • Develop balanced internal and external recruitment mix
3. To develop processes to create best-in-class on-boarding experience for the new joiners
  • Ensure effective implementation plans to control attrition of employees who are less than 6 months in the system
  • Ensure qualitative induction on organization's processes & systems to ease new joiners into their functions

4. Lead Talent Acquisition for Tanzania.
  • Work closely with all business leaders to determine strategic hiring  needs and ensure that the operations are aligned to the strategic needs
  • Oversee the hiring budget and participate with management in preparing  staffing budgets, manpower projections, employment policies, procedures and  practices
  • Establish good relationships with the business leaders & units  understanding the needs of all stakeholders and translate the understanding  to enhance the effectiveness of the sourcing function
  • Set up channels to communicate TA performance metrics and measures, to  all stakeholders.
  • Capture feedback from the customer segments on an ongoing basis and  ensure that the feedback is acted upon to bring in operational effectiveness
5. Strengthen the employer brand in order to attract and retain the best talent. 
  • Drive team to assess processes, procedures and systems, to determine the  most cost efficient way of delivering services while achieving the highest  levels of satisfaction of business
  • Review statistical data and reports related to process efficiency of the  team and ensure the team members are provided regular feedback on the  performance of the processes
  • Drive various process improvement plans and monitor the compliance on  same
  • Work with leadership team to understand how the market is evolving and  bring in appropriate systems and practices to deliver "quality" on time,  every time to the business Institutions, employment agencies, placement  firms, and other sources of applicants and strengthen the sourcing channels
  • Focus on effectively balancing internal talent movement with external  hiring
  • Liaison with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement  firms, and other sources of applicants and strengthen the sourcing channels 
6. Ensure Talent Management process including talent reviews, identification of top talent, succession planning, and development planning and cascading of the Talent Management process in Tanzania.
  • Ensure career movement process in place for top talent in Tanzania
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills 
  • Degree in Human Resources/Social Sciences or other related field of study
  • Masters in Business Administration would be desirable
Relevant Experience 
  • 5+ years experience in HR of a large sized organization with a minimum  of 2 years in a talent acquisition leadership role
  • Exposure to recruitment and resourcing best practice (interviews,  assessment centers, attraction, process improvement)

Position title: HR Manager, Total Rewards
Reporting to: Human Resources Director

Job purpose:
To formulate and execute Compensation & Benefits Management Strategy for Airtel Tanzania in line with Airtel Group total reward philosophy and local regulations to ensure internal parity, competitive advantage and alignment with global recommendations resulting in improved performance, employee satisfaction and retention.

Supporting Activities 
  • Compensation and Benefits policies and initiatives aligned with Airtel  Africa strategy and market realities
  • Ensure effective implementation of Airtel Africa compensation strategies  in Tanzania whilst considering local peculiarities
  • Develop precise action plans around employee reward issues from Airtel  Tanzania employee engagement survey feedback
  • Ensure consistency of employee remuneration with performance and market  value.
  • Drive the job evaluation process
  • Regular employee total reward benchmarking with competition and  employers of choice that ensures competitive advantage in Airtel Tanzania 
  • Engage world class service providers in research and delivery of reward  service and salary survey data for Airtel Tanzania
  • Manage relationship with these service providers to ensure data  provided meets Airtel Tanzania requirements.
  • Design and deployment of skills/level/function specific incentives that  drives performance
  • Design customized incentive packages for employees in various  roles/cadre
  • Ensure that remuneration, bonus payouts and other incentives are clearly  inked to individual/team performance
  • Ensure effective implementation of these incentives and continuous  reviews in line with economic and market realities
Effective HR Budget Control   
  • Oversee data availability and optimization of Airtel Tanzania HR costs
  • Provide effective HR cost forecast in line with planned employee  activities such as salary reviews, incentive payouts etc.
Performance and Reward capability enhancement in Airtel Tanzania employees and Senior Management 
  • Facilitate the design, deployment (including training) and  implementation of the Performance Management process aligned with Airtel  Africa Performance Management System
  • Ensure continuous employee communication in Airtel Tanzania on Airtel  performance and total rewards guides and principles
  • Ensure a well informed Airtel Tanzania HR Community on Airtel  Africa/Tanzania reward strategies, policies and practices
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills 
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Masters in Business or Human Resources Management or a related field  preferred would be desirable
  • A professional qualification on Compensation & benefits
  • Proven track record of delivering remuneration strategies
  • Knowledge of international benefits trends
  • Excellent Networks in the industry/sector
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to HR areas,  particularly staffing, compensation base and incentive compensation  programs, and company policies and administrative practices.
  • Strong budget and management skills, including proven ability to  project/process manage
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities,  and demanding customers, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years experience in designing and implementing sound compensation, benefits and Performance Management systems

Other requirements 
  • The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous  compensation design and program performance simulation projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing proactively with all levels of  internal and external management and vendor or agency personnel
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching,  analyzing, and developing compensation related programs and recommendations.

Position title: 1 Manager, HR Operations & Analytics

Job purpose:
To provide HR professional support to Regional Staff in alignment with business strategies and also to Promote the development and improvement of Airtel displinary and grievance policies, procedures and practices through the provision of appropriate, timely and effective services to employers and employees

Supporting Activities

  • Effective Headcount management and competency optimization
  • Conduct trends and report analysis on various HR indices.
  • Provide employee information as required by HR support functions,  internal and external audit.
  • Advise the Line in building people capacity and performance
Resourcing
  • Work closely with Sales Function to determine hiring needs in HQ and  Regions
  • Ensure Sales operations are aligned to business needs
  • Ensure availability of Job Descriptions for all roles
  • Ensure proper implementation of talent reviews and succession plans  within the Functions
  • Continuously improved employee engagement
  • Design HR Strategy and Implementation of Organisational Development  interventions
  • Implement Culture Change processes
  • Act as employee champion in respective functional area/region
  • Facilitate Employee Relations in the assigned functional area/region
  • Conduct the Performance Management process within group of assigned  responsibility
  • Facilitate and guide various stakeholders on corrective actions,  grievances, conflicts and disciplinary procedures
  • Industrial Relation 
  • Administration of all grievances and disciplinary related matters
  • Participates in local negotiations and collective bargaining when such a  need arise
  • Ensure all Airtel staff comply with all employment regulation
  • Attending to CMA cases whenever required
  • Liaise with legal unit, Association of Tanzania Employers ( ATE) and  labour office on all labour dispute and claims
  • Ensure compliance with all employment regulation
  • Administer labour agreement  
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills 
  • 1st degree in Human Resources/Behavioral Sciences
  • A professional qualification of CIPMN, CIPD, SHRM is desirable
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills
  • Proven organizational development, performance management and employee  relations skills
  • Must demonstrate interpersonal savvy with the ability to maneuver  through complex situations effectively while building constructive  relationships
  • Ability to build partnerships in a matrix organizational environment  along with providing coaching/counseling to all levels within the  organization
Relevant Experience 
  • 5 years Human Resources experience in a multinational business  environment in an HR Generalist role
  • Experience working with organizational leaders to define and execute HR  strategies linked to organizational goals
  • Other requirements (Behavioural etc.)br
  • Able to work on a broad variety of projects
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills
  • Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work efficiently as a team member
