Radio reporters shall complete any of the following tasks: Generate story ideas, perform research, Respond to breaking news stories, Research possible story ideas, Conduct Interviews, Write stories and broadcast reports, and Report on entertainment, sports or news events.
Qualifications and Competencies
Reporters must be holders of a Bachelor degree in broadcast communication or journalism with at least two years’ experience. A master’s degree in communication or journalism may be an added advantage. Radio broadcast professionals must write well, possess strong research skills and speak articulately.
Reporting on the radio requires objectivity while presenting the facts to a listener.
